This isn’t related to science. For that matter, nothing I mention here is anyway linked to any kind of science. Well, if my unanswerable questions (doubts) have actually got scientific explanations, that is another issue. I’ll bet that even you have wondered about a few things at some point in your life.
Even to this day, we cannot answer the simplest of questions. Though you can google answers online, you might not be satisfied with what you read. Mysteries are endless mazes. You can walk or run or fight through the puzzle yet you won’t find an end. New questions keep on coming like a linked chain. If you surmise that our universe happened because of the Big Bang, that what we have now is actually a result of “singularity“, then another query surfaces. How did the first atom, the phenomenon of singularity, form?
Let’s not delve into complex unanswerable situations. Here, we’ve brought you a few common questions that left us wondering with a big question mark.
1. Why two-minute Maggi can’t be cooked in 2 minutes?
If they can’t be cooked in two minutes, why do they claim so on their wrappers? I’ve often doubted this and tried cooking at a high flame. Even then, it took 6-7 minutes! So, two-minute noodles aren’t what they say at all! Ugh!
2. How the heck do we sleep, fellas?
Don’t tell me “It’s ‘coz of exhaustion!” I’ve often wondered, why is it that we fall asleep. “I feel like sleeping!” What does it actually mean to FEEL like sleeping, have you ever wondered? Why do our eyes close shut during a boring lecture? Is the brain exhausted? If yes, then how does it get tired? There are some people who do not sleep for long durations. Yet, they don’t feel tired. So, instead of asking ‘why’, I’ve found myself asking, ‘how’ we fall asleep. If only living things with ‘brains’ can ‘sleep’, what about plants and trees, also living things, have “sleep/dormant states”?
Have you known that millions of years ago, people have considered “sleep” to be an animal sent by the Satan, the Devil? They used to sit on trees and hide in bushes with hunting devices so that when sleep arrives, they could kill it. In the end, they fell prey to sleep.
3. How do we actually “Dream”?
Let me tell you a small story. Every Sunday, the newspaper I subscribed to, produces a book. It has so much information about the world, new trends in fashion, a section for children, foods, horoscope and many more. Once I’ve come across an article that read “What do your dreams mean?” It was so interesting that I couldn’t help but read. The article talked about how what we see in our dreams relates to what will be happening in our life. Precisely, our dreams are indicators of our future! If you dream of water bodies like oceans or even rain, that means you’ll be in some kind of danger. Interesting, isn’t it? But, seriously, putting aside the significance of our dreams, haven’t we ever asked ourselves, “How do dreams occur?”
Dreams are sometimes creepy, aren’t they? Especially, when you see an unfamiliar figure!
4. Do we dream in colour or in black and white?
There are days when we wake up and think back on our dreams. We clearly remember what happened! But, did we dream in colour or in black and white? Could we, for sure, remember the colour of the dress we wore in our dream? Or, are we just making it up?
5. What is the size of Sky?
“My love for you is as vast as the sky!” This is such a cliché sentence, isn’t it? It’s ironic, how we compare our love, or anything else, to something which we are vague about.
6. Why do I have to yawn if you yawn? I’m not even sleepy!
Yawning is contagious. Of course, we all know that, don’t we? This is one question I googled and felt dissatisfied with the answer. Because it was incomplete. After talking about a survey and a syndrome, the article said that “The research is still going on“. To this day, we don’t know why we yawn when we see others yawn or even think about it.
7. Do we really have a soul?
This is such a supernatural question, isn’t it? No one knows what happens after we die. Or, if our character is really defined by a good soul, an inner spirit. If souls do exist, how do they look like? Are they invisible? Do they roam about on streets? Can they mix in the air?
Are soulless people zombies?
8. What do you think, Gods and Devils exist or not?
There are volumes of stories which proclaim the existence of Gods, Goddesses, and Demons. But, have we ever seen one? How can we trust something which we haven’t ever seen? Why do we visit holy places in search of a God whom we’ve never met? Why do we fear the dark? Is darkness really the abode of devils?
Are you frightened of the demon under your bed? In your closet?
9. Can you kill love?
“I don’t love you anymore. So, let’s break-up!” If not all, some of you might’ve heard this sentence from your partner in a relationship. We can’t choose who we love, but can we choose how not to fall in love with someone? We’ve all experienced “Love“, be it ecstatic, painful or fluffy. And we also know that no matter how painful it is, love doesn’t fade.
Maybe, we can kill relationships, but, Love?
10. Which came first? Egg or Chicken? Tree or Seed?

This is a savage question, ain’t it? The question itself is a contradiction. No one knows what came first except for assumptions that something came first. There are theories supporting why the chicken came first or the tree came first but there isn’t any proof yet. So, yeah, this is the biggest mysterious question that will haunt us for a few more centuries.
I’ve listed all the questions I can think of. Still, if I missed anything; or if you guys have more such questions, do ask them in the comments below!
