Amazon Photograph trailer is like a breath of fresh air. After a while, we have got a trailer which does not give away everything in the trailer itself. Photograph Amazon trailer is just how a trailer should be- crisp, lingering and leaves the audience to long for more.

It is a story about a struggling street photographer living in Mumbai who, just like any other ‘of age’ Indian, is pressured by his grandmother to get married. The role of the photographer is performed by none other than the delightfully talented Nawazuddin Siddiqui.

Sanya Malhotra is playing the role of Miloni, a shy and soft spoken Chartered Accountancy student who has cleared her CA Foundation and is preparing for her Intermediate. She is convinced by Nawazuddin’s character to pose as his fiancée, Noori, in front of his grandmother.

The line said by Noori while telling Nawaz’s grandmother about the photograph and how they met- “…jab maine apni wo photo dekhi to mujhe laga wo koi aur hi hai, wo ladki mujhse jyada khush lag rahi thi…” depicts Miloni as someone who might not be very happy with her current life as she comes out to be rather sad in all the scenes with her family and the only time she’s seen smiling is after meeting Nawaz.

The movie portrays a raw India and comes out to be story of some everyday Indians and not a superficial depiction. Two exhausted souls developing a connection that transforms them in ways they could not expect. It won’t be just relatable by many but also a treat to watch.

Amazon’s Photograph is yet another example of Sanya’s amazing movie choices and after watching the trailer it’s needless to say that she overpowers Nawaz’s performance.
