“She Was Raped, And She Was The One To Be Blamed”

Sad young woman sitting on the bed
The printing press machine goes tak-tak-tak.
And the people of society go talk-talk-talk.
The politicians say, “It’s her fault, It’s her fault.”
The policeman says that her dress was too short.
She was raped, and she was the one to be blamed.
Some said that it was her boyfriend who actually raped.
But she cries, she knows it all.
But the printing press machine goes tak-tak-tak.
And the people of society go talk-talk-talk.
She was blamed and She was the victim.
She loved her boyfriend but had to leave him.
Drama-Lama all around the society.
She cried, she knows it all.
But the printing press machine goes tak-taka-tak
and people of society go talk-talk-talk.Her family told her to stop going to work.
Her brother told her to break up.
Everyone made her feel insecure.
Who knew that her boyfriend was the one who saved her.
But the printing press machine goes tak-tak-tak
And people of society go talk-talk-talk.The next morning the sun rises,
the newspaper in hands with the cup of a tea.
A new case. Again. A girl was raped.
But the printing-press machine goes tak-taka-tak
and people of society go talk, talk and talk.Dear Society, Please shut up.
The printing press machine please stop, stop stop.
The politicians and policemen, please, stop, stop, STOP.
In our country, we read newspaper and magazines and watch new channels everyday. And everyday, we see a new rape case. Like is it a cup of coffee that it is happening at a daily routine. Our country is the rape capital of all. This is because people do not care. They just read the news and forget. And then if a very horrible rape case happens, people march with candles. And so many times the girl herself is blamed. I want to beg everyone reading this, take this seriously. It doesn’t matter if she’s not your daughter, sister or wife. You have to treat her and save her like one. Please wake up. Take actions. Because this will never change if you take it lightly or usual. Because it is never usual for the victim.
